The Government of the Republic of Ghana has established the Accra-Kumasi Expressway Limited (AKEL) to undertake the development, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Accra-Kumasi Expressway. This major national infrastructure project aims to improve connectivity between Accra and Kumasi, enhance the movement of people and goods, reduce travel time and logistics costs, improve road safety, and support economic growth and regional development. AKEL intends to prequalify Contractors for the construction of a new 199.383 km controlled-access expressway.
