Title : Management Firm Under The Contract Of Operation And Management of Gbawe Pig Abattoir
Description : The Weija-Gbawe Municipal assembly in collaboration with Organization for Livelihood Enhancement Services (OLIVES) secured funding from the European Union towards strengthening sustainable local economic development and social accountability in the Municipality. The main objective of the project is to establish a vibrant Piggery value chain.The Assembly has implemented the under listed activities to aid in achieving the project specific objectives. 1. Established a Modern Slaughter House (Abattoir) for Pigs.2. Established a Pig Feed Mill3. Established a Piggery Breeding centreThis action will promote sustainable and inclusive development in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality.The Youth, Women and People with disability will be provided employment opportunities which will trickle down to their respective households.An indicative action plan for the sustainable management of the piggery centre under the project implementation action plan of the Project Agreement Document (PAD) requires the Assembly to partner a Private Management Firm under specific Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement as specified in the PPP Act,2020 (Act 1039).It is against this background that Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA) intends to comply with PAD by engaging a Facility Management Firm in the Operations and Management of the Piggery value chain.
