- Title : KPONE THERMAL POWER PROJECT EXPANSION -CONVERSION OF SIMPLE CYCLE TO COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT
Description : 1. The Kpone Thermal Power Plant consists of two (2) GT11N2/EV Alstom Gas Turbine Generators (GTG) which have been in operation since June 2016. The VRA wishes to convert the 2x110MW simple cycle plant to a combined cycle plant by the addition of two (2) Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and two (2) Steam Turbines to form two independent combined cycle trains.2. Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering (ICT) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended.3. The Volta River Authority (VRA) now invites applications for prequalification for the engineering/design, supply, installation, commissioning, training and guarantee for the conversion of the 2x110MW (nominal) gas turbine to combined cycle (GTCC) power plant at the existing Kpone Thermal Power Station (KTPS), Ghana, West Africa.4. The successful EPC Firm will be required to arrange financing for the project.
