- The Ghana Health Service has developed a Cost and Managerial Accounting Manual to aid in strengthening the financial management and accountability systems of the Service, especially in supporting the Service with the requisite quantitative tools and data for effective and efficient managerial decision-making. The catalyst outcome of this is to leverage these critical cost and managerial data to aid the costing of services as well as help in managerial decision-making of the Service for the ultimate attainment of efficient resource utilisation, service efficiencies and effectiveness, and quality delivery of services. The Service as part of ensuring full automation to drive accuracy and speed in the Cost and Managerial Accounting process, intends to digitalize the process by outsourcing the design, development, and implementation of a software solution to achieve this intended goal. The software solution would be custom-made for the GHS and belong to the GHS.
