Title : Consulting Services To Conduct Financial Management Review Of Selected Beneficiary MMDAs
Description : The Government of Ghana has received a US$150 million credit facility from the World Bank to implement the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social (SOCO) Cohesion Project over five years (2022 to 2027) in forty-eight (48) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies across six (6) regions, namely Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West and Oti regions. The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development is the lead implementing Ministry.The SOCO Project is being implemented through a Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach, which relies on the Government-s decentralization structures for community level participation in the identification of development priorities and to promote social cohesion and engagement of youth and marginalized groups (including women and persons with disabilities). Stakeholders and actors at the community level are expected to be involved in sub-project identification, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The project development objective is to improve the regional collaboration and the socio-economic and climate resilience of border-zone communities in the target northern regions of the Gulf of Guinea countries exposed to conflict and climate risks.
