Description : 1.0 BACKGROUNDThe State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) intends to apply part of its budgetary allocation to engage the services of an independent Audit firm to carry out audit services of the financial operations of the Ghana Consolidated Diamonds Limited (GCDL) at Akwatia, from January 2019 to December 2021.2.0 OBJECTIVEThe objective of the assignment is to audit the financial statements of Ghana Consolidated Diamonds Limited (GCDL) which includes a mine, school and a hospital.The Consultant is expected to express opinions on;a) Whether the financial statements (including the notes thereto and supplementary statements) present fairly, in all material respects, (or give a true and fair view of) the financial position as at each accounting year-end, and its cash flows for the years then ended, in conformity with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).b) Whether the financial statements are accurate and are drawn up from the books of accounts maintained by GCDL. c) Whether GCDL has an effective system of financial supervision or internal audit at all levels.d) Whether expenditures are properly approved, classified and supported by adequate documentation.3.0 SCOPE OF WORKThe Consultant is expected to carry out the following four key tasks:a) The audit will be carried out in accordance with the International Auditing Standards ...
