Its audience is diverse, from statespersons to children. Radio has the extensive reach followed by newspaper, television, and online news channels. In recent years, broadcasting in the local language, especially in the Akan language has begun to gain ground, even though it had always been used on public broadcasting radio and television. It has now become well accepted and a preference for audiences. An audience survey [1] of media in Ghana reported that Akan speaking radio and television were among the top media outlets in the country. The reach and audience share for this content has therefore been established as large.
